I have used the Corona crisis to start a long-awaited project that I have dreamed of for years, namely the establishment of a tea garden and a tea retreat in Denmark. Everything suddenly fell into place in March when we sold our house in Hjortshøj in just two days, and then the dream became a reality. On June 1st, we moved to Mols Bjerge near Ebeltoft. A huge house and 5 acres of land will now form the framework for our tea garden and tea retreat. This is the beginning of a new adventure.
Molbo Tea Garden
Molbo Tea Retreat & Tea Garden is what it shall be called! I have just moved to Krakær in the Mols Nature Park, so I am technically a Molbo. Several people have expressed that this is not something you can call a tea garden. The Molbos are seen as silly fools who cannot be taken seriously, and everything they do goes wrong. Well, that is exactly why it should be called “Molbo” – growing tea in Mols must be a Molbo story. It is up to us to turn a seemingly silly idea into a success!
Molbo Tea Retreat
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that I will unfortunately not be opening Molbo Tea House today as planned. This is due to several reasons, but primarily because the workload is currently overwhelming.
This means that I unfortunately have to cancel the reservations for those of you who have booked a table and ordered afternoon tea. I sincerely apologize for this. A good alternative is Molskroen, whose afternoon tea I can highly recommend.
Still open for events, tea courses, and the shop
We will, of course, continue with our events, tea courses, and the shop will be open as usual. I hope to see you here.
