Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea

This ancient and traditional British concept has made its way to Denmark and is used for special occasions such as christenings, birthdays, wedding receptions, and confirmations.

Afternoon Tea, which means “afternoon tea,” is a tea-related ritual that was introduced in the UK in the early 1840s. It developed as a mini-meal to curb hunger until the evening meal at 8:00 PM.

Afternoon Tea consists of sandwiches (usually cut delicately into ‘fingers’), scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, pastries, and cookies served with freshly brewed tea, where the tea takes center stage.
